History

• B.Eng Hons. (2.1) Mechanical Engineering from Southbank Polytechnic / University
• TWI Cambridge 1979-84
• Cambridge Micro-electronics 1984-86
• Joined the Royal Greenwich Observatory in 1986. Experienced range of assignments and positions at RGO and was appointed as Project Manager in 1992.
• Joined the UK ATC in 1998 as a Project Manager, appointed Head of Mechanical Engineering Group in 2000, Chief Engineer in 2001, and then Head of Programme Delivery and Engineering in 2005.

Interests

All sports, but particularly:

• Rugby
• Field sports
• Motor racing
