Research interests

My research interests are focused on the single particle shell structure properties of nuclei toward the frontiers in term of isospin (neutron/proton ratio).

My research projects aim at addressing these fundamental questions: where are the limits of nuclear matter in terms of proton and neutron numbers and where do the elements come from?

Measuring and understanding the nuclear structure properties of exotic nuclei is essential for the determination of nucleosynthesis paths and understanding the abundance of chemical elements and isotopes in the universe.

Research projects

  • Studying exotic nuclei using direct reactions with radioactive beams
  • Studying fast proton/alpha decay in proton rich nuclei

Detector simulation developments (GEANT4)

  • Si tracker for R3B collaboration at FAIR
  • Si array for TIARA collaboration at SPIRAL and for GASPARD collaboration at SPIRAL2
  • Ancillary detectors for AGATA collaboration
  • Light Ion Spectrometer Array (LISA) at Jyvaskyla
  • Helical-orbit spectrometer at HIE-ISOLDE.
